After nearly two years of orange cones and detour signs, the reconstruction of 19th Street between Morrie Avenue and Cheyenne's Crow Creek is finally complete.

Phase III of the project, which stretches between Pioneer and Warren Avenues, is scheduled to open to traffic on Monday, weather permitting.

"We're real happy with how it's turned out," said Deputy City Engineer Nathan Beauheim. "We've been lucky to have the same contractor on all three phases, so that's definitely helped keep everything moving along."

All three phases of the project were constructed by Reiman Corp. of Cheyenne.

Funding for the $14.813 million project came from the 5th Penny Sales Tax and the Board of Public Utilities.
