Have you ever tried to make a bird's nest?

I've seen lots of birds carrying twigs, grass and other materials back to a tree to build their nests, but I really don't know how they get it all to stay together. We can find out at a science workshop at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens on Tuesday, March 24.The Paul Smith Children's Village in Lions Park will host a free science project about bird nest building on Tuesday, March 24, at 4 p.m.

Parents be aware that this will be a messy workshop, even the title is 'Science: Bird's Nest Mess.' This is for kids of all ages, and will explore the nesting habits of birds while participants create their own handmade bird nests out of natural materials.

The hour-long project will show that sometimes having a beak, works better than having two thumbs. The next time you see a bird carrying around some grass, you'll have a much better idea of what it's going to do with it.
