BB Ranch in Seattle Sells Pork from Marijuana-Fed Pigs, But How Is It? [REVIEW]
I was in Seattle on Saturday and, as tradition, I went to Pike’s Place Market to look and shop around. This is the place that has the butcher whose pork are fed marijuana. I just had to check it out.
The first thing I asked for was bacon. The guy behind the counter informed me that they sold out of the bacon within half an hour of them being opened that day as bacon never lasts long there. Fortunately, there was plenty more to choose from. When I asked what else was ‘infused’, he said anything with the leaf was from those same pigs. I grabbed some sausage links and a couple of pork chops, put them in a cooler with ice and made my trip home.
The sausages were really good. They tasted different than I’m used to, but that’s probably because I’m used to eating pre-frozen, whatever-they-have-on-the-shelf sausages full of preservatives and stuff. It was different, but a good different.
The pork chops, however, were completely amazing.
To answer the first two questions anyone would have, no, they didn’t taste like marijuana and no, I didn’t get high. It was good stuff, though. I’m not sure when the next time I’ll be in Seattle is, but next time I’m there I may have to try anything else they have.
