Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says city crews have been hard at work repairing potholes lately.

Kaysen says the city gets requests every day to fix potholes on Cheyenne streets, adding crews have been doing everything possible to keep up.. He says on average potholes are fixed within 2 1/4 days of being reported, weather permitting.

The mayor is asking any resident who encounters a pothole to report it immediately on the city website so city employees can fix the problem as soon as possible.

Because of the cold weather potholes in Cheyenne this time of year are patched with what is known as a "cold mix".That's a temporary patch mix that must be replaced with a permanent "hot mix" patch once the weather warms up
