The marijuana saga continues. It's next stop on this tour for legalization, takes us to the state of Nevada where animals may be the next beneficiaries of the drug.  A bill has been introduced in the Nevada Senate that would make it legal for your cat or dog to ingest marijuana, as long as they have a prescription from their family veterinarian.

In an effort to strengthen the states marijuana laws, Senator Tick Segerblom, a Democrat, introduced the bill for pet owners to received a medical marijuana card for their pets, who may benefit medicinally from the drug.

Segerblom says he's doing this because people are saying that cannabis can cure everything under the sun. Unfortunately for them, the Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to consumers that cannabis for their pets is not a safe practice.

So, if this passes, consumers will not only be able light up a fatty their self (providing they have a medical marijuana card), but will also be able to legally pass it to the left hand side to Fido. Of course, this is all being done in the best interest of curing any and all ailments that your pets might have.

You might remember when some of your friends would get into their parents stash? Now, you'll have to keep those same friends from getting into Rovers stash. Just sayin'.
