While we observed Memorial Day here in America, so did The Dutch. They have never forgotten their American liberators and they have a waiting list of families to care for the graves of American soldiers who gave their lives to defeat the Nazis.

For the last 70 years, in Margraten, Netherlands, the Dutch come to this cemetery to tend the some 8,300 American graves to care them and bring flowers, just as they did this last Sunday. They care for the headstones that they have adopted as their own. Over 100 people are on a waiting listing to become caretakers.

You’re welcome.
