Cheyenne-based meteorologist Don Day says flash flooding, severe thunderstorms and damaging hail are possibilities for Southeast Wyoming today (Thursday June 7).

Day, who owns Day Weather in Cheyenne, says although temperatures today most likely won’t be warm enough to spawn tornadoes in the area, conditions are ripe for flash-flooding, especially since the ground in the area is extremely wet from storms Wednesday that may have dumped as much as six inches of rain on some areas of Southeast Wyoming. Day says severe thunderstorms and hail are also real possibilities. He advises residents to monitor weather reports.
