Wow, did we ever get to see a show of the forces of nature late yesterday through early this morning! Rain, hail, wind, lightning & thunder and even a hand full of small tornadoes were reported in the Denver area down to Colorado Springs and out into the Eastern Plains of Colorado.  We had our fair share of rowdy weather here in Cheyenne too, the power went off late last night in several areas around town and finally returned late this morning.  Hopefully you and your family stayed dry during the festivities!  I found some video & photos of the action and posted it here.  Feel free to leave us any of your "storm" stories too!

SEVERE WEATHER HITS NORTHERN COLORADO

The second tornado was around 6:30 p.m. in Weld County. The National Weather Service says that tornado ripped out a tree.

At 7:30 p.m., a tornado was spotted in Kiowa. Just 10 minutes later, another tornado touched down about 14 miles northeast of Elizabeth. Just a few moments later, two tornadoes touched down 14 miles south of Bennet. No injuries or damage are reported in association with the four later tornadoes.
