Can you blow a smoke ring? Mount Etna, the volcano in Italy, can.

Recent YouTube footage captured the volcano on the east coast of Sicily, Italy, puffing out rings of smoke that look amazingly graceful and huge.

This is a rare event: smoke rings from Mount Etna were first noticed in 1970 and again in 2000.

Mount Etna is Europe's highest active volcano at nearly 11,000 feet and it's about two and a half times the height of Mount Vesuvius.

Scientists estimate that the first volcanic activity took place at Mount Etna about a half million years ago.

Here's a link to Mount Etna's webcam, in case it decides to light up again, meanwhile, take a deep breath, exhale and enjoy.
