A golf tournament benefiting the Wyoming Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will be held in Cheyenne on September 5th.

The Alzheimer’s Association's "Mulligans for Memories" best ball tourney will be held at the Warren Golf Course.

"If you've never played the beautiful club over there this is a great opportunity to be able to get onto Warren Air Force Base and play some golf," said event organizer Janet Lewis. "Registration is at noon with a shot gun start at 1:00 p.m. and then we're going to have dinner, awards and a raffle after the tournament."

Lewis says they hope to raise over $7,500 for Alzheimer's research.

"Alzheimer's is the 6th leading killer in the United States. This year alone it will kill more people than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined," said Lewis. "Right now there is no treatment, cure or prevention for Alzheimer's disease and we need to fund research."

The cost of the tournament is $95 per golfer.

"That will get you 18 holes with a cart," said Lewis. "Every player is going to get a duffel bag full of goodies, a raffle ticket and the awards dinner."

Those interested in participating can call Lewis at (307) 316-2892 or register online.

"We need people to register by the 23rd of August," said Lewis. "We are limiting it to twenty foursomes."
