Mumford and Sons bassist Ted Dwane is undergoing emergency surgery to have a blood clot removed from his brain. In an announcement on their website (read it below), the neo-folk heroes assure fans that Dwane will "recover quickly," though not quickly enough to avoid postponing tonight's (June 11) show in Dallas; tomorrow's in the Woodlands, Texas; or Thursday's in New Orleans.

"Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment," Mumford and Sons said the statement. "The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery."

Mumford and Sons plan to announce rescheduled dates soon, and they have no plans to postpone additional concerts. That's good news for fans headed to Bonnaroo this weekend, as the band is scheduled to appear at the festival on June 15.
