Yesterday saw our first creepy peek at 'Hannibal' season 2 in the form of an elegant (if terrifying) Wendigo poster, but why not go a bit less stylized? The first official still from season 2 of NBC's darkly delicious prequel drama has made its way online, but what new questions flare up from 'Hannibal''s continued FBI presence?

From the looks of our first photo from season 2 premiere "Kaiseki" (last year's episode titles took the form of French cuisine, this year Japanese), Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) continues to consult for Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne), even after Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) remains behind bars. No telling what gruesome murder from the mind of Bryan Fuller brings Hannibal into the field this time, though we imagine it won't be long before the good cannibal doctor visits his former patient in the Baltimore insane asylum. (Hint: the relationship might still be a bit tender.)

Along with a confirmed season 2 role for ‘Sex and the City’ vet Cynthia Nixon as an FBI oversight investigator, we know series creator Bryan Fuller previously expressed a desire to cast ‘Pushing Daisies’ alumni Lee Pace, Kristin Chenoweth, Anna Friel and Chi McBride, along with music icon David Bowie as Hannibal’s uncle. Fuller previously expressed his intent to feature Raul Esparza’s Dr. Frederick Chilton in a regular capacity, given Will Graham's (Hugh Dancy) status behind bars, though the actor’s elevation to ‘Law & Order: SVU‘ regular status casts that idea into doubt, similar to Gillian Anderson‘s role in NBC’s upcoming ‘Crisis.’

'Hannibal' season 2 won't serve up its first dish until early 2014, but take a look at the first promotional still from the "Kaiseki" premiere below, and give us your predictions after the jump!
