A 24 year old North Las Vegas, Nevada man was killed in a January 4 single vehicle rollover on Interstate 25 20  miles north of Cheyenne.

A spokesman for the Wyoming Highway Patrol says 44 year old Oscar Hernandez-Alanis was northbound on I-25 around 8:30 a.m. when his Chevy Suburban drifted right across the northbound rumble strips. Investigators says Hernandez-Alanis over corrected to the left, sending the vehicle into a counter-clockwise spin. The Suburban then  entered the median and rolled multiple times.

A passenger in the vehicle, 24 year old Christian LomeliSantos was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. The driver and three other passengers were rushed to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, where they were hospitalized.

The patrol says possible inattention by Hernandez-Alanis is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash.

Hernandez-Alanis was cited for failure to maintain a single lane. The crash caused the temporary closure of I-25.
