My wife and I had some phone business at the Frontier Mall yesterday, and we thought we'd try a new sandwich shop that a friend and then a phone store rep recommended. Okay, we’ll give NA CAFÉ COFFEE SHOP a try.

The first thing I noticed was a great attitude and smile from the owner, Tony. You’ll also notice the accent he’s got. He’s a wog, Aussie slang for a foreigner in a country other than Australia.

We looked over the simple menu and settled on their “Wogarama” Panini made with bacon (can’t go wrong), turkey, olives, mozzarella, pesto and jam. Jam? Okay, I’ll bite.

He happily told us about their six months of being open while constructing our one-of-a-kind odd sandwiches. They’re not Australian, but his concoction.

“If you don’t like them, I’ll give you something else. Fair dinkum mate."

The results of our taste test gave the place two thumbs up. I like the attitudes of Tony and his Brazilian counterpart Tatiana. I like that they are proud of their product, it’s a local business, it’s good food and fairly priced.

Nothing against the major chains, but I love to support local, I hope you will too.
