Are you a Muppets Maniac? Here's something to be thankful for, the new "Muppets" movie is scheduled to be released the day before Thanksgiving on November 23.

The trailer for the movie just came out, it features Jason Segel as Gary and Amy Adams as Mary, and looks like just another romantic comedy until Kermit the Frog appears followed by a whole cast of Muppets.

Among the celebrity cameos expected in the new "Muppets" movie are Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Jack Black, Ricky Gervais and John Krasinski. It's being directed by James Bobin who helped create the musical duo "Flight of the Concords."

The plot, according to Moviefone, involves the world's biggest Muppet fan, Gary (Jason Segel), and his friends who are on vacation and discover a plan by an oilman,Tex Richman (Chris Cooper), to raze the Muppet theater and drill for oil. To save the theater, Gary must reunite the Muppets to raise money with The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever.

The last time the Muppets hit the big screen was in 1999 with the movie "Muppets From Space."
