Rodeo fans who are accustomed to arrive at Frontier Park in time for the grand entry parade will need to be there a half-hour early this year.

For many years, the kick-off to the rodeo has started at 12:45 with the first bull bucking at 1 p.m. This year the grand entry will start at 12:15 p.m. daily July 20-28 with the first bull bucking at 12:30 p.m. The change was made for a variety of reasons.

Cheyenne Frontier Days General Chairman Darin Westby said folks should get to the park early, take in a Behind the Chutes Tour, and go to the rodeo. They will get out of the rodeo early enough to see the Indian Village and Old Frontier Town or go to the Old West Museum.
