How do you spell champion?  Answer:  Jojo Widi, an 8th grade student at McCormick Junior High School, who’ll be representing Wyoming in the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.

Jojo, who’s spent hours prepping with his dad, as well as spelling coach, won the state spelling bee in March, so now he’s moving onto the big time, to compete on a national level.

According to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, the national spelling bee goes on from May 24th through 29th, and Jojo, and others in the competition, will have to make it through several stages, including oral spelling rounds, vocabulary tests, and computerized spelling challenges, so Jojo definitely has his work cut out for him.

Jojo is ecstatic about making it to the final rounds, and we only wish him the best of luck!
