While the exact details of a possible pedestrian mall near the state Capitol building in Cheyenne have yet to be hashed our, an online poll conducted on the Townsquare Media of Cheyenne websites last week showed a fair amount of skepticism towards the idea.

A total of 64 percent of those answering the survey were not in favor of the idea as it now stands, while only 17 percent were enthusiastic about the proposal.

Another 16 percent said they would need more information, while three percent would support the proposal if the state would pick up the entire tab. A total of 187 people answered the online survey.

Because such online polls are not demographically weighted to match the general population, they are not considered scientific surveys.
