Wyoming Highway Patrol K-9s sniffed out 313 pounds of marijuana during a recent four-day deployment in Laramie County.

K-9 teams and troopers hit the road July 14-17, making 400 traffic stops which resulted in 25 drug-related felony charges and 26 drug-related misdemeanor charges being filed.

In addition to the 313 pounds of pot, an ounce of methamphetamine, three-quarters of an ounce of heroin and a small amount of ecstasy and oxycodone were also seized.

By the time the deployment was over, troopers had issued 357 warnings and 73 other citations, including nine seat belt and eight child seat tickets.
