With the 2014 Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfasts in the books, the chair of that event says he feels it went smoothly this year.

Dan Kirby says that while overall breakfast attendance was ''a little low", thousands of people were still served free breakfasts without a hitch. He says "things went really smoothly, it's been great". Kirby says he thinks other changes at CFD this year may have affected the breakfast attendance.

He also notes the breakfasts are a valuable drill for local emergency management officials who may be faced with feeding large numbers of people in a disaster situation.

The breakfasts have been presented by the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of Cheyenne Frontier Days week every year since the mid 1960's.
