The rumors that have been circulating over the last month are true, as some of rock's most legendary musicians will gather in the California desert this fall for a newly launched music weekend. Dubbed the Desert Trip, the event will feature the likes of Paul McCartney, The Who, Roger Waters, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young and Bob Dylan taking the stage over a three-day weekend.

Desert Trip will take place Oct. 7-9 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., with two acts performing per night. The Friday night bill finds Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan playing. Paul McCartney and Neil Young are the performers for Saturday, while Roger Waters and The Who finish out the weekend on Sunday.

Considering the fact that each of the music legends are among the top concert draws going, the pricing is relatively reasonable given what each artist typically charges on their own. The low end of the pricing is the $399 general admission ticket, while the high end is $1,599 for the standing pit or reserved floor seats. Tickets go on sale Monday, May 9 at 10AM PT. To learn more about the ticketing options, as well as hotel and camping availability, check out the Desert Trip website.

Just to get you even more excited to see all of these iconic performers all in one place, Desert Trip has also posted a teaser video that can be seen below.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, each participating Desert Trip act has reportedly been guaranteed a $7 million windfall for playing the show.
