Pearl Jam Has A Busy Year Ahead [AUDIO]
Pearl Jam is celebrating their 20th anniversary with several new releases this year. The band is re-issuing their albums VS. and Vitalogy, working on a documetary with director Cameron Crowe and releasing a book about their last two decades.
If all that wasn’t enough, bass player Jeff Ament says the band has about 25 songs they’ll start working on in April for a new Pearl Jam album. The group also has a 20th anniversary destination festival tentatively planned for Labor Day weekend.
Ament adds that his solo project Tres Mts is set to release a new disc too. Drummer Matt Cameron will play on a new Soundgarden album and lead singer Eddie Vedder’s working on his solo disc called Uke Songs reportedly consisting entirely of songs played on the ukelele. Here’s the first single called “Longing To Belong.”
