Nebraska, Gravity, Dallas Buyers Club and Captain Phillips make great pre-Oscar veiwing on a cold Sunday afternoon.

Tonight is the 86th annual Academy Awards and in this reporters opinion, we have mass appeal, mainstream movies. Not a bunch of artsy fartsy movies with subtitles that usually get credit. Nebraska is awesome, we just watched it. Gravity is great, not the edge of your seat everyone thought it was going to be. Sandra Bullock up for an oscar along with Bruce Dern from Nebraska.

Matt McConaughey in Dallas Buyers Club is phenomenal and up for best actor. We have seen so far this weekend: Gravity, DBC last night, today: Nebraska and now Captain Phillips. Phillips is a stretch for Best Picture. Don't count out The Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle.
