I know the work I put in, I know what it took. There are no shortcuts and there never have been

Former Denver Quarterback Peyton Manning has been cleared of charges claiming he used performance enhancing drugs. The NFL says there is no credible evidence of any banned drugs after the league’s own seven month investigation. Al Jazeera America had reported Peyton’s wife accepted shipments of Human Growth Hormone, or HGH, which he vehemently denied in court. The NFL announcement comes just five months after winning Super Bowl 50 24 –10 over Carolina..

“In December, Al-Jazeera reported that an intern at an Indianapolis anti-aging clinic was secretly recorded suggesting that Manning's wife received deliveries of HGH in 2011 while the quarterback was recovering from neck fusion surgery.” Says CBS.

The NFL said the five time MVP and his family were fully cooperative with their investigation that began back in January..

The superstar former quarterback has long since denied he cheated as a pro, calling the charges that he used PEDs "garbage."

“I know the work I put in, I know what it took. There are no shortcuts and there never have been. ... It is wrong, completely wrong, to say otherwise." - Peyton Manning
