Phoenix Books and Music’s Vintage Vinyl Night Features Arthur Lee and Love

Have you ever listened to Arthur Lee and Love?

You can tonight at Phoenix Books and Music, 1612 Capitol Avenue, from 6 to 8 p.m., they’ll be playing Love‘s sixth album, ‘False Start.’ The first track on the album, ‘The Everlasting First,‘ features Jimi Hendrix on lead guitar.

Each Thursday is Vintage Vinyl Night at Phoenix where they put two records on the turntable for your listening pleasure. Along with Love they will play the New York Dolls in ‘Too Much Too Soon’ album from 1974.

David Johansen is the lead singer of the Dolls, the punk band from ‘the Big Apple,’ and you might remember him by his pseudonym Buster Poindexter.
