Searching for some live entertainment in Cheyenne on a Thursday night?

Mac Frampton is playing at the Central High School auditorium.

The Cheyenne Concert Association kicks off their 2011-2012 season with the piano phenomenon, Mac Frampton, playing Thursday, September 22nd, at 7:30 p.m. at the Central High School auditorium.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and are available at the door. Memberships to the Cheyenne Concert Association may also be purchased at the door.

Frampton, backed by a drummer and bass player, will play selections spanning two centuries. Along with standards like George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," expect more modern music such as Billy Joel's "Piano Man."

A signature of Mac Frampton's concerts is his Request Medley. He takes requests from the audience and creates a "composition" based on those suggestions.

Frampton has recorded more than 20 albums in his career and has performed over 3,000 concerts around the world. He has shared the stage with Bill Cosby, Ray Charles, Glen Campbell and Roberta Flack.
