Cheers to our friends at Pine Bluffs Distilling, their Rock Ranch Vodka was awarded the bronze medal this week at the American Craft Spirits Awards in Minneapolis.

“At Pine Bluffs Distilling, we strive to create the best quality, locally produced Wyoming spirits,” co-owner Chad Brown said in a press release. “Winning a bronze at ACSA shows that we have achieved our goal.”

Brown, his wife Kathy, and his cousin Gene Purdy opened Laramie County's first licensed distillery in 2017, using malt grown on their family farm. The farm-to-bottle operation is overseen by head distiller Erica Unruh, who studied the craft at the Moonshine University in Kentucky.

Rock Ranch Vodka was one of over 500 entries in the contest. Along with vodka, Pine Bluffs Distilling also produces bourbon, corn whiskey, and white whiskey, which are available at select liquor stores in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and around Wyoming.
