Wyoming's Capital City is the oldest and most populated city in the Cowboy State. But did you know there are several other Cheyenne's across the country?

Perhaps the most famous Cheyenne not located in Wyoming is Cheyenne Mountain, home of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, just south of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Colorado is also home to the town of Cheyenne Wells, which serves as the seat of Cheyenne County. There's also a Cheyenne Arapaho Hall on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Cheyenne, Oklahoma, is a small town in the northwestern corner of the state. It's the county seat of Roger Mills County and the site of a famous 1868 battle pitting General George Armstrong Custer against a Native American tribe.

The Cheyenne River is a tributary of the Missouri River, which runs from Wyoming into South Dakota. The Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in South Dakota is the fourth largest reservation in the United States.

The Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation, formerly known as the Tongue River Reservation, occupies nearly 450,000 acres in southeast Montana.

Cheyenne County, Kansas, sits in the northwestern corner of the state. The town of St. Francis, Kansas, serves as the county seat.

Just north of Cheyenne County, Kansas, Sydney is the seat of Cheyenne County, Nebraska.

There have also been several actors, musicians, athletes and models named Cheyenne, including Cheyenne Brando, the daughter of the legendary star Marlon Brando.
