More people are leaving Wyoming than moving here a new study shows. Wyoming remains the least populated state in the union.

Here's something to ponder as you read this. Wyoming's total population is the same as Raleigh, Fresno, Tulsa and Albany all have the same amount of population as the entire state of Wyoming. We had a growth surge every year since 2002. A weak employment growth seems to be the contributing factor

Wyoming actually had people moving here, more leaving is the key. The state only grew by 930 people. My wife and I were two of the 930 this year. North Dakota led the nation’s population growth with a 2.2 percent growth rate. More than half of that growth was in-migration. Nearly half of Colorado’s growth was in-migration and a quarter of Texas’ growth was in-migration.
