A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department is reminding motorists that traffic ordinances require clear visibility through vehicle windows.

Officer Dan Long says in winter weather that may mean scraping off your windshield before hitting city streets. Long says obstructed windows "with people driving along looking out of a little corner" can lead to a traffic ticket.

That typically carries a $50 fine, but Long says the accident that you could be involved in because you don't see well could end up being much more expensive than a traffic ticket.
