Ramen Noodles – The New Currency In Our Federal Prisons [VIDEO]

We've heard the stories and maybe have experienced them ourselves about inmates trading smokes or people for other items in prison. Now, there's a new way to trade.

Recently, a study was conducted showing that the old-age, popular trade item - cigarettes, are being replaced with Ramen noodles.

Part of the reason for this is two-fold. One reason is because the food doesn't taste so good in state prisons. The other reason is because of financial cut backs in our prisons, the quantity of food is a bit more scarce.

So, instead of trading smokes and folks, Ramen is the new trade item. If you have a stash of Ramen, you just might be in good shape if you must serve time for your crime.
