Real Life Horror Movie: Bodies From Old ‘Lunatic Asylum’ Found

At the University of Mississippi Medical Center, all they wanted was a new parking lot. But while they were surveying the site, construction crews discovered 1,000 bodies that are thought to be from an old lunatic asylum.

If that’s not the makings of a horror movie, I don’t know what is. Scarier still? The price tag for moving those bodies--about $3,000 each. Yes, moving the remains to a new burial site would cost an estimated $3 million.

They are now looking at developing a different area of the campus.
