Play the classic Oregon Trail, and see if you have enough food to make it past Fort Laramie.

The Oregon Trail video game came out a 26 years ago. For many of us, it is a nostalgic, educational and frustrating. How many times did we have to die from dysentery? Why did they keep stealing our oxen? If you never played it, learn why the kids who grew up in the '90s are always taking extra food with them on road trips.

The actual Oregon Trail was often used by fur traders, gold rushers and Mormons to pass through Wyoming. It followed a large part of the North Platte River. Unfortunately, you cannot carve your name into Register Cliffs in the game.
