With temperatures expected to reach near 90 degrees and dry, breezy weather expected, the Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag fire warning for Tuesday in many parts of southeast Wyoming.

The warning has been posted for the hours between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for parts of Laramie, Albany, Carbon, and Platte counties. A Red Flag warning means the fire danger is extremely high and outdoor fires are not recommended.

A fire weather watch has also been issued for Wednesday afternoon.

Dry, hot weather with temperatures at or above 90 degrees is expected to continue through Thursday before the arrival of somewhat cooler, wetter weather on Friday and especially Saturday.
