Riding the Motorized Scooters at Walmart Is Fun

I got a pair of Converse All Stars for Christmas and I've been trying to break them in. As many of you know, a fresh pair of Chuck Taylor's can rub your feet raw for the first few months. Over the weekend, I had to go to Walmart and my feet were hurting, so I decided to help myself to one of the motorized carts. It was awesome.

The scooters don't go very fast, but they are fun to maneuver between the aisles. And other shoppers will get out of your way. It's like driving in the fast lane through a crowded store. I even deliberately ran into a few displays, just for kicks.

Sadly, the battery on my scooter started losing juice and began to jerk and lunge. Maybe it was karma trying to tell me something. I eventually limped my disabled cart back to the front of the store and exchanged it for a fresh one. At first, I felt a little guilty using a second electric cart. But they had an extra one, so I decided to take it for one more spin.

Next time, I'm going to have someone tag along with me, so we can race through the store.
