After a long day Wednesday evening, Riverton resident Cameron Piper and his family hit the Dairy Queen drive-thru for dinner.

The family was surprised to discover that Cameron's chicken strip basket came with an added surprise. In the gravy dipping sauce, was a ring... and not like an onion ring... a ring, ring.

While it wasn't clear who the ring belonged to or why it had slipped into the gravy, the Piper family did get a refund and some new chicken strips, this time with ring-free gravy.

After posting the incident on Facebook, many of Piper's friends joked that perhaps an employee was trying to propose, or that maybe he should have just taken it to the pawn shop.

Moral of the story: Make sure to check out your food before biting into it.
