A 44 year old Rock Springs man died September 17 in a single vehicle rollover in Sublette County, according to a release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Donald O. Morgan was southbound on Bureau of Land Management Road 4116 at about 9:35 p.m. at the time of the crash. Investigators say his Chevrolet C-10 drifted off the left side of the road and hit a large rock with the left front wheel. The collision launched the vehicle airborne before causing it to  roll several times.

Morgan, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries during the crash. Alcohol and excessive speed are being investigated as possible factors in the crash, according to the release.

It was the 109th fatal high crash in Wyoming this year, according to the patrol.
