Happy National Tequila Day. Observed every year on July 24th, it's an annual celebration of the blue agave plant in all its glory.

Here's five rock stars who will probably be indulging in a few margaritas today.

Sammy Hagar - The red rocker's love for tequila is well documented. He founded and built his Cabo Wabo tequila company in Mexico before selling his stake in the company in 2013. These days, Sammy markets his own rum line, but we know that he will always have a soft spot in his heart, and his liver, for tequila.

Jimmy Buffett - Jimmy's been wasting away in Magaritaville for decades. His love for tequila has inspired millions of parrotheads to visit his 'Margaritaville' restaurant chain, which now boasts 23 locations across the world. Buffet also produces his own line of spirits, including his signature Margaritaville Gold Tequila and mix.

Carlos Santana - The legendary guitarist credits his love for tequila to his Mexican heritage. He now operates the Casa Nobile tequila line, which dates back to the late 18th century and is world renowned for its traditional distilling process.

Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top - Gibbons' love for Tex-Mex culture and tequila is almost as famous as his trademark beard. Several years ago, he launched the Pura Vida Tequila line, which has won several awards. Recently, Gibbons introduced a crowd sourcing online funding campaign to expand the brand to retail outlets nationwide.

Vince Neil from Motley Crue - In addition to his fleet of private planes and his Arena Football League franchise, the Motley Crue frontman indulges another passion: tequila. Several years ago, he launched the short lived Las Vegas cantina Tres Rios. Although the restaurant is no longer in business, the tequila line it spawned continues to produce a variety of flavors.
