Rural LCSD#1 Schools Closed Today

The three rural elementary schools in Laramie County School District#1--Clawson, Gilchrist and Willadsen--are closed today, Thursday, February 4, according to an announcement issued by the district early this morning.

The closure is due to the lingering effects of a winter storm which dropped almost a foot of snow on the Cheyenne area earlier in the week.

Along with the closure of the three schools buses which normally carry students to those schools will not be running and no school activities at the trio of schools will be held.

All other schools and bus routes in the district are operating normally, according to the announcement.
