Ever been to a big city in the summer and been knocked over by the stench of urine? Well, San Francisco is tired of the disgusting problem and is peeing back…. with a super urine-repellent, hydrophobic paint that bounces the pee right back at the urinators.

Whiz kids haven’t been stopped by $100 fines but walls that pee back might do the job, and the city won’t smell like a sewer. So far, they are testing ten walls.

The idea started in Germany’s

“St. Pauli neighborhood of Hamburg, a red light district known for its bars, cabarets...and public urination. To combat this, the town has painted many of its walls with liquid-resistant paint -- giving these "wildpinklers" a splash of their own medicine.”
