The white stuff is the right stuff for Mother Nature and for those looking for a great time.

When I was shoveling all that fresh snow last week it felt like we had enough of the dandruff of the gods, but The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says our Wyoming snowpack is 80 – 85% of average for this time of the year. So let’s hope for more.

Still what we’ve got on the ground is making for fine downhill skiing at Jackson Hole with an 82” base for 122 trails. Hogadon has a 36” base for 27 trails with two lifts running.

Cross Country Skiing is excellent at Pole Mountain / Happy Jack which will be good for the races on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Please give the racers the right-of-way if you go. You’ll also find excellent conditions at Chimney Park and in the Snowy Range back country.

Snowmobiles will be fine in Snowy Range but would no doubt appreciate some fresh powder and less wind.

We live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, even in winter. Get out and enjoy it!
