Vivint Security has been banned from soliciting door to door in Cheyenne, according to a statement on the Cheyenne Police Department's facebook page.

The statement  says Police Chief Brain Kozak recommended that a request to extend the company's solicitor's permit from the city should be denied due to numerous complaints about Vivint from city residents. According to the statement Mayor Rick Kaysen agreed with the request.

That means Vivint won't be allowed to sell door to door in Cheyenne as of July 1, which is Wednesday.

The statement didn't specify what the company was accused of doing. It isn't clear at this point whether the violations may have been related to a new set of regulations governing doot to door sales that has been instituted in Cheyenne after being approved earlier this year by the Cheyenne City Council
