The smell of good ol' American barbecue was wafting up and down just about every neighborhood block in town, this past Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Day weekend is not just the un-official kick off to summer, but also the official kick off to BBQ SEASON. It is a shame to think that some people in this world have never had american barbecue. Take the Irish for example. Growing up with a proud Irish heritage, I have eaten just about every type of Irish cuisine. But, I was appalled to find out that many Irish citizens have never sampled a rack of ribs or smoked brisket.

To quote one of the Irish subjects in the survey: "Our barbecue is usually just a man cooking salmonella underneath an umbrella."
