The Next Step Performance Company is presenting 'The Boys Next Door' at the Laramie County Community College Playhouse on the weekends from February 21 to March 2.Performance times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays, with the Sunday matinees beginning at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and military personnel.

'The Boys Next Door' explores the lives of four mentally disabled adults in a group home under the care of a 'burnt out' social worker. Dale Williams plays Jack Palmer, the social worker who is torn between doing everything for his clients and letting them live their lives.

The off-Broadway play was written by Tom Griffin and in 1996 it was turned into a made-for-TV movie.

Jeff Tish directs the cast which includes Charles Hall, Mark Wilkinson, Brad Goodman and Cathie Chadwick.

Next Step is a local nonprofit production company that uses money raised from ticket sales to go toward scholarships for college freshmen going into the performing arts.
