There was significant damage to the house and its contents at 1922 Seymour Ave., on Monday.

Damage was estimated at $55,000. No injuries were reported.

Cheyenne Fire & Rescue firefighters were called to the structure fire at 3:01 p.m. on Monday, March 9 and had the fire contained and extinguished within 30 minutes. The fire started in the kitchen area of the unoccupied home. It was used for storage by the Salvation Army.

The investigation is still ongoing to find out what caused the fire.
