Wyoming Game and Fish is debating a new proposal that could prohibit the use of crossbows for hunting during archery season. In a recent report, a group of biologists recommended banning the weapons, arguing that new technology gives crossbow hunters an unfair advantage.

Some members of the Game and Fish commission disagreed with the report, citing concerns that the proposed regulations would discourage children and the elderly from participating in the sport.

For now, the Commission will table the discussion until they complete a public survey. They plan to announce the results of the survey and make a final decision by November.
