The Wyoming State Legislature is debating a new bill that would allow hunters to wear flourescent pink clothing. Current state law mandates that hunters wear blaze orange apparel to identify themselves.

Although some experts believe that pink clothing is more visible than orange, similar bills have caused controversy in other states. Last year in Michigan, the Deparment of Natural Resources recommended that the existing laws should remain in tact. A Michigan lawmaker recently drew widespread criticism when he suggested that pink apparel would help female hunters "feel more attractive".

Wyoming's proposed bill is one of several across the country. Along with Michigan, Maryland is considering a law which would loosen clothing restrictions for hunting. In 2016, both Colorado and Wisconsin passed simiilar proposals allowing hunters to wear pink.
