University of Wyoming Men's Basketball Coach Larry Shyatt says the Cowboys next opponent, Fresno State, could easily have a much better record.

The Bulldogs are 8-13 overall and 1-7 in Mountain West Conference play. But Shyatt says Fresno has lost some very close games to conference powers such as San Diego State and UNLV. He says the Bulldogs are the only team to seriously threaten 18-1 San Diego State at home, noting that game was "close until the last couple of minutes". Shyatt says that the Bulldogs could easily be unbeaten in conference play with a little luck.

Shyatt also says the Bulldog guards, especially Tyler Johnson, will pose a big  challenge to their Wyoming counterparts. The Cowboys are coming off a 64-62 overtime win at Nevada on Saturday, and stand at 13-6 overall and 4-2 in Mountain West play going into Wednesday night's game at Fresno State.
