Go ahead! Start planning those fall road trips before summer ends.

Yes, we just said the words "fall foliage" and yes, we know it's still summertime. If you're like me, you can't wait for fall because it's your favorite season. You long for crisp morning walks with your dog and extra crunchy leaves to step on along the way. One of the most breathtaking views during this fall season is certainly those leaves changing colors before dropping to the ground.

So where can you find the best fall foliage?

Country Living recently compiled a list of the best small towns across the country to enjoy this autumn phenomenon. For our region, they chose several towns in Colorado. In fact, three towns made the cut.

Breckenridge, Colorado is heralded for their mountain views on the Boreas Pass Road and trails, not to mention the Breckenridge Oktoberfest. Estes Park, Colorado is a cozy mountain town. I can only imagine what the Rocky Mountain National Park looks like in the fall. The leaves in this area also change at different times in conjunction with their elevation. Finally, Ridgway, Colorado gives you brilliant colors of leaves in the foreground, with gorgeous snow-capped mountains in the background. Talk about one heck of a view!
