Voters who are registered in Wyoming, but did not vote in the last election are getting notices from county clerks about their names being removed from the lists of registered voters.

State Election Director Peggy Nighswonger says voters can prevent their removal as registered voters by notifying their county clerk that they want to remain listed as registered voters. Those who receive the notifications and don't act within 20 days will no longer be listed as registered to vote. T

That doesn't prevent them from voting in future elections, but it does mean they will have to re-register before voting again.

Nighswonger estimates around 95,000 voters in the state will be receiving the notification.
